  Call for abstracts


 

IMFSC2017 seeks submission from academia, scientist, researchers and postgraduate students in chemistry, biology and multidisciplinary area to present and deliberate on their research findings especially in the field of natural products.

 

 

 

Research Topics

  • Ethnobotany and ethnopharmacology of medicinal plants.
  • Discovery of lead compounds for drug development.
  • Synthesis of bioactive molecules.
  • Biological activities, pharmacology and toxicology of natural products.
  • Bioscience, biotechnology and bioengineering.

 

 

Submission of Abstract

  • Open for oral and poster presentation.
  • Abstract must be in english language
  • Abstract should be written not more than 200 words in a single paragraph in one page.
  • Abstract should give a pertinent overview of the work.
  • All chemical structure must be drawn using ChemDraw software - ACS setting.
  • The format setting of abstract should be accordance with the template provided. (Click here to view the template)
  • Abstract must be submitted in the format of doc or docx files.
  • Please use the following naming convention for the file name: CorAuthorLastName_First Name.doc; E.g: Einstein_Albert.doc.
  • The abstract need to be sent through our conference online system by accessing the participant login and are subjected for corrections and examinations by our scientific committee. IMPORTANT : Please make sure to register as presenter in order to appear the abstract tab in participant login.

 

Poster Guidelines

  • Size – Poster should be printed in A1 size (59.4 cm width × 84.1 cm height) in potrait oritentation.
  • The contents of poster must be related to abstract submitted which include :
    • Title
    • Authors & institutional name
    • Abstract
    • Introduction
    • Objectives
    • Materials & Methods
    • Results/ Data
    • Discussion
    • Conclusion
    • References
    • Acknowledgements
  • The layout of poster depend on creativity of participants. Click here for example of poster layout design.
  • Use contrast colors for text and background.
  • Suitable and readable font types. Suggestion fonts –
    • Title Bar – 42-48 points, bold and capitalized research topic.
    • Header – 30-36 points and bold,
    • Content – at least 20 points
  • Kindly provide clear illustration and visual materials (photographs/figure,charts, maps, graphs, etc.).
  • Any chemical structure diagram must be visualized using appropriate software such as ChemDraw software.


Oral Presentation

 

  • Presentation schedule: Please re-confirm your presentation slot and session room details with the Secretariat upon collection of your conference kit at the registration counter.
  • Slide submission: All presentations should be handed in flash drive and give to secretariat representative at the registration counter.
  • Please be present at your session room at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the session. Presenters are encouraged to introduce themselves to the Session Chair before the start of each session.
  • Please remember that the time allocated for oral session is 8 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for questions and discussions.
    • a title slide: name, title, institution & what the research is about;
    • a concluding slide: a summary of what you have said & your next step.
  • Please follow the Session Chair’s instructions, in particular those related to the timing of your presentation.

 

Poster Presentation

  • You will be informed of your poster board number code at the time of your registration.
  • Authors of posters are kindly requested to follow the instructions below:
    • Author will display their posters on the appropriate supports, at the location corresponding to the board number code given during registration session.
    • The number code of each poster will be placed on supports by the organizers, and all the necessary equipment for the displays of posters will be provided to the authors by the organizing committee.
  • Time for putting up & removal of posters is as follows:
    • Day 1 : 0830 to 1700 hours
    • Day 2 : 0830 to 1500 hours
  • Judging time will be during the tea breaks & poster presenters must be present.
  • Schedule for judging session will be announced at least two weeks before the date of conference.
  • Awards for best oral and poster presenters will be announced during the closing ceremony.
