The Faculty of Economics and Administration (FEA) at the University of Malaya is the oldest economics faculty in Malaysia. Since its inception in 1966, the FEA has contributed significantly to the national development agenda by providing research analyses that helped shape policies, and by nurturing high-level manpower with expertise in economics. As the faculty celebrates its 50th anniversary, it is timely to organize a conference to invite academics, researchers, industry players and regulators from around the world to take stock of what has been achieved, discuss economic issues currently faced by the world, bringing to the fore ideas on what policies are needed to surmount challenges both domestic and external.

This inaugural
International Conference on Applied Economics and Policy (ICAEP) 2017 aims to provide a platform for the interactions and networking among participants from around the world.
